How is your summer going? Are you on holiday in a beautiful country?
Today I'm going to talk about things that make girls insecure these days; mainly it's social media, but sadly it's things that happen in everyday life too.
Currently listening to.. *hits the folks and acts goofy*
If there are any grammar or spelling mistakes, sorry about that
I've come to realisation that there's a lot of insecurities and problems with us young people these days. There's girls making raps about their ex boyfriends, talking about how boys talk to them like they're two feet small.
1 | Instagram
As much as I love Instagram, it can REALLY EFFECT a person's confidence. Not getting enough likes on an Instagram post, boys not 'sliding into your DMs', cyberbullying, not winning in a fight and it being leaked all over 'the gram', being 'exposed on the gram'. Why is there so much mess on social media these days? And why is it fair? Why can't a beautiful black woman with a healthy slaying afro be praised on Instagram yet to be knocked down because she's 'black as fuck'
Disgusting people make social media a dangerous place, and it's shocking.
2 | YouTube Reactions
I mean this doesn't make me insecure, and I don't have much of a problem with this guy and other guys who react to musical.lys like this but there's boys on youtube who technically just get 'horny' on camera and call it a 'reaction'. To be honest, can we calm with this stupid-ness?
"She's cute and that's the only thing that matters"
(These are things that he's said on his youtube videos)
This can have a slight effect on someone sensitive who maybe currently doesn't feel that confident or comfortable with her own body. This could give out an impression that we should all just sexualise or alter ourselves to be noticed! I quit musical.ly, it makes my eyes hurt. Not going to lie..It's a cool app and I'll definitely go back on it one day. But at the end of the day, that's not right.
3 | it's flippin youtube again..Interviews
Ok so I don't know when this started, but it happened. There's YouTubers who basically just go around asking people whether they like 'black girls or white girls' or 'black boys or white boys'. This can make someone insecure because some of these teen boys actually say some really immature and offensive things in their interviews, same with the girls too. Don't shame a race of people and get brave and gassed because someone interviewed you. But in fact, everyone gets 'gassed' when talking about their preference.
"Black boys. Big dick"
shut. up. Bruh.
"WHITE GIRL, FLAT BUM LIKE WHAT ARE YOU DOING FAM"
have you said that to a white girls face?
Again, I don't have that much of a problem with these videos and they definitely have an advantage because you get to see 'wassup'. But everything comes with an advantage and disadvantage.
4 | Some of this music tho...SHUT. UP AND GO TO BED WITH YOUR TRASH (I'm laughing as I'm writing this)
Sorry, but I feel like I speak the truth. I don't know if it's just our generation, but some people honestly act like badly influenced 5 year olds.
"Now I'm f****n on yo bitch"
JUST. SHUT. UP and go to bed like I told you too before. You're speaking a bunch of saliva. I apoligise for the swearing, I'm just imitating.
I enjoy all types of music, but some is honestly trash. If you sound like an IDIOT, I'm not going to listen to it. This music is influencing some of these boys and it's such a shame. Rappers are giving off the impression that acting dumb, having money, fame and a 'bitch' is the 'good life'.
That was part 1, hopefully I can start writing a part 2. In this post I was basically just listing things that could possibly make someone insecure. None of this effects me but it is important to write things like this on my blog.
See you soon!
